CIRCLE OF WELCOME

Refugees flourish when embraced by welcoming communities actively engaged in their integration. Extend a warm welcome to refugees by participating in Circle of Welcome. By becoming a community sponsor, you collaborate with the ETSS resettlement agency to meet refugee families at the airport, help them secure and furnish their initial housing, link them with local services, and introduce them to the distinctive qualities that make your community special!

REFUGEES THRIVE WHEN THEIR COMMUNITIES WELCOME THEM AND ARE INVOLVED IN THEIR INTEGRATION

OUR CRITICAL WORK

  • "Driving the Syrian family to a medical appointment went really well- they are a delightful family! The oldest daughters English is really good, even though she said she's reluctant to use it in fear of making mistakes. I told her not to worry about it, and that she speaks very well. We talked about her wanting to go to school (technology/computers), her family, music (she likes Justin Beiber 🙂 and their ten years in Egypt. When I took them home, she asked for a hug! Dad and sons were just as kind. We exchanged phone numbers as well."

  • "Blessings of God. We owe you much gratitude. Our hearts will be marked forever with your name. Never in our lives did we think of meeting people with such kind hearts. We believe that if people in the world had that kind of hearts there would be more love between human beings. We love you very much. You are our family."

  • "I was struggling. Everything seemed so hard. I hated being in the US. But then I met the two of you. You have helped me so much and you have made me feel welcome. I am so glad to know you. I am so thankful to have you as friends."
