Community Health & Wellness seeks to address the behavioral and mental health needs of Central Ohio’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
The CHW program provides outreach and referral for:
- Community health needs
- Food insecurity
- Rent
- COVID-19 resources and information
- Other crucial resources based on community need
Community Health & Wellness Overview
What is it:
The Community Health and Wellness staff aim to meet communities’ behavioral and public health-related needs through culturally and linguistically appropriate services, including counseling, case management, outreach, public education, training, and referral.
The staff provides CLAS education through Health Literacy and Cultural Competency training. Funded by grants through the ADAMH Board of Franklin County and Franklin County Public Health.
Who is Eligible:
Bhutanese/Nepali, Congolese, Somali, Hispanic and New Americans facing challenges and barriers who need assistance to successfully navigate needed services.
When:
Monday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm.
Where:
CHW Counselors currently work remotely and from our North and East offices following local health department recommendations for in person meetings.
Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Counseling Services
What is it:
Our trauma-informed in-person counseling services are designed to address the unique mental health needs of individuals within the Refugee, Immigrant, and New American communities. We recognize and respect diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring that our counseling approach is both sensitive and appropriate.

Residents of Franklin County and anyone over the age of 18.

Monday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm.
